Blessings my dear Brothers!
With my recent stroke and my ongoing recovery, this is not a project for me or even the faint of heart. I really have to watch myself and taking on too much on my shoulders now, and as one member of the Alumni.
Having said that, I want to say that I have a lot of respect and admiration for Jon Golding, for what he did and tried to accomplish for the Abbot and MSB overall. And the magnitude of Jon's vision is really commendable. Others from our MSB Alumni group have also tried, and just like Jon, without much success. And the one reason or person was the Abbot.
Fr. Harold Imamshah, you want to help the Abbot. You shared above that you were part of things before and have met with some success along the way. And you feel we should try again. And I wish you the best.
At this point in my life, as I shared above, I do not have the energy to take on a massive project like this, although every project can be broken up in manageable parts to complete the whole project eventually. The thing is, we need the Abbot to totally want this to save us from any wasted energy like before. And like our Brothers stated, the Abbot has to take a Leadership role and be open, humble, and supportive of the team and other players in an undertaking such as this.
Also. this project has to be self-sustaining, with revenue generating income to take care of ongoing maintenance of properties, etc. For instance, if the swimming pool is restored to Olympic standard, then the rental of the facilities will pay for its upkeep. And other ideas of revenue generation, even those already in existence like the yogurt factory, etc., will be necessary to avoid us from outside ongoing fund-raising and having to do this project all over again when there is need for another massive overhaul.
What this project points to is a picture of the extent of this undertaking. And I come back to the vision and efforts of Jon Golding, the work he did. That today is still the blueprint of the plan for this project. Because if we do not do this project wisely, we will forever be having to work without meaningful solutions.
Now, who is going to shoulder this task with the Abbot? Again, the Abbot himself must want this, and step up and take responsibility. If there are souls willing and able to do so with the Abbot, I certainly wish you all the very best. And you all too will have my utmost respect and admiration as I have for Jon.
God bless you Fr. Harold Imamshah, your vision, the Abbot, the Team, and our MSB Brothers.

Terrence Ferreira July 1965,
sir.
Years should not be published on FB. Lol
Are you sure? That was a month after my father's death
We left in 1965 didn't we? I took shots of the entire class, which I still have.
May your parents rest in peace.
Do you recall I was with you and at your lunch table the day your Dad fell ill?
I'll never forget.
Yes. We had gone to play cricket on Taylor St.
It seems like yesterday Terry

Hi Ladislao,
This is the first time I have seen the Abbey website, and I must commend and congratulate you and others for doing a tremendous job in bringing cherished memories back to all the old boys.
I am Peter Tang and left in Form 5 around 1965 (not too sure). Two of my brothers also attended, Tilson and Norman. I would really like to get an email address for Prada, who spent many of his vacations at our home, Che Che and Carl DeLuze.
Thank you Ladislao and GOD bless you and your family.
PS: It’s nice to see big box head (Don) is still around and very active with the website.
Regards,
Peter Tang

Ladislao,
I retired from BHP Billiton Petroleum in February 2009, and moved from Bogotá, Colombia, where I was V.P. and Country Manager, to the USA.
My wife, Simone (nee Seheult) and I now live in Georgetown, Texas. We are located in Central Texas just north of Austin.
Eion O'Connor, to whom I have CCd this note, lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
I believe that "Middle Bhaaji" is located in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada, but I am not sure on that.
Best wishes,
Nicholas "Meow" de Verteuil

Some quotes from William James "Will" Durant, an American writer, historian, and philosopher:
- Civilization exists by geological consent, subject to change without notice.
- Nature has never read the Declaration of Independence. It continues to make us unequal.
- Moral codes adjust themselves to environmental conditions.
- It may be true that you can't fool all the people all the time, but you can fool enough of them to rule a large country.
- Tired mothers find that spanking takes less time than reasoning and penetrates sooner to the seat of the memory.

Thanks, Nige.
No bout about it. Mike Agostini was a real sprinting superstar. As a young boy, I followed his career with delight.
May he rest in peace.

Glen
Mike Agostini as a result of Bro. Vincent's diligence gave a brief lecture and handy tips to Bullet Howard, Richard Galt, - me and I don't recall who else- on how to make the best start in a 100 yds race.
The training session took place on the northern part of the sport field where the sprints usually were carried out!
By the way he was the fourth fastest 100 meters runner in that Olympic year!
Regards
Manuel

Hello Great- Grand-Knights & Big Brothers, Sir Bandit, The Knight Of Calypso & Sir Nigel, The List Maker, The Knight Of The Light.
Now Bandit this was in 1954, you had already finish and left the prison ha! ha!
So you were a young man then, I was born in 56 ha! ha!
Now my question is, did Mike go to the mount, his relatives, brothers or cousins ?
I would ask Sir Gerald Agostini, a proud member of this fine Club, he may be able to shed some light on same, you know me, everything great that come out from Trinidad, I have to connect to the mount or make it up too ha! ha!
I see below the name Camacho, I remember the name from my 1st. year on the mount, his last year there I think ?
I really enjoyed this interview, the time period he is speaking about, a west-indian boy, that really went far running after an impossible dream.
I also understand why he ended up running for Canada.
Thank you for this one, an historical moment for sure eh Trini.?
Cheers Mis Amigos –
Adios Glen McKoy.

Subj: Fwd: Mike Agostini: The Forgotten World's Fastest Man [PODCAST]
A few years ago, Mike stayed at my house for a couple of days, during which time I was able to arrange a meeting between Mike and his former 100-meter foe, Dave Sime, who is a surgeon living on Key Biscayne.
Antonio Camacho did a video of the meeting.
Both Mike and Dave commented, " It's nice when two has-beens are still being regarded."
