Thanks, Joseph.
I have published
your message as a comment at the foot of the Circular:
And, by copy of this
message I am requesting Ladislao on your behalf to note your correction and to
remove it from his Old Boys collection.
Keep well.

Love the work you
guys are doing.
Always look forward
to an Abbey School Circular.
One little
correction, if you mind, that picture of me, is not ME! I see the resemblance.
He's a good friend
of mind from Venezuela.
Please continue to
keep up the wonderful work that you doing.
I have learned a lot
about the school and the you guys. I had a blast in my days and I thought that
nothing could have compared to the things that I had experience.
Look at how the
Mount was developed in the days gone by,
Is like a dream. I
was born in 1961 and I feel sometimes that I have been at the mount from the
time I was born.
May God keep His
blessing on you all, all the time. Thanks

Dear Old Boy,
Don’t forget to
visit Ladislao’s Circulars for 2016 every weekend to see if the latest ones are
posted on the Blog: http://abbeyschool2016circulars.blogspot.com/
The bright blue
links in the Circular pages are live, and you need only click on them to go to
the page, see the video, or listen to the music in question.
I have removed the
hyper link to all the email addresses to save you from being automatically
spammed as you would be if the links to your addresses were live.
I have enabled
“comments” on the 2016 Blog, so that if you have a remark to make on any of the
emails, you can do so.
If you are
unfamiliar with the process just send me your comment at my email above and ask
me to post it for you.
I’ll do so straight
away.
I can’t keep all the
Blog’s comment feature open as too many spammers put stuff on it.
Keep well.

Hi, Kazim,
I have an old-time
Mount Boy staying with me.
His name is Brian
Goddard of Valencia in Venezuela.
He has some stories
about the Old Boys that I have been listening to.
He has corrections
for the Database.
These are some of
them.
Harley Day:
His mother was Venezuelan who grew up in Trinidad, and his father was
American.
His mother was David
Bain’s mother’s sister.
Harley’s early life
was spent as a musician in New Orleans, and in his later years he manufactured
harpsichords, concert guitars and violins.
Thirteen years ago
he was still alive and well living in St Petersburg, Florida.
David Bain -
He lived and died in Pampatar in Margarita Island.
Brian Goddard –
Exxon industrial sales retired. Now an industrial consultant for chemical
solvents, and recently a Caribbean representative for oilfield industrial
solvents and reverse osmosis equipment. Lives in Valencia,
Venezuela.
Christian Goddard
- He is Brian and Donald’s younger brother. He lives in
Edmond, Oklahoma, and is completely retired. According to Brian, he plays
golf several times a week. The address in the database needs
correcting.
Donald Goddard –
Still an active geophysicist, working as a consultant in Texas, Louisiana and
Mexico.
Juan Carlos – His
real name is Juan Carlos Golik: He was a cheese maker in Merida in Venezuela
who rented out cottages to tourists.
Pedro Castro –
School teacher in Caracas. He had his own school.
Manuel Prada –
School teacher in Caracas. He had his own school.
Giovanni Marini –
Top engineer with a cement company called Vencemos which was bought by a
Mexican company from where he retired as a technical director. Now he is
retired and living in Caracas.
Adds a bit of
excitement to an otherwise boring database!!
Keep well.

Hola Ladislao,
Can you pass on my /
our regards to Elias Farcheg with his wife from the latest photo in your
website, fantastic.
Also does anyone
have the list of students from MSB in the 1958 class and their contact details.
The years pass and
we are all a bit older, so it would be nice to stay in touch, eg. Ricardo
Figuera.
My wife Gail and were
in Spain this May / June, but had no way of knowing if he was there.
We are always sorry
to read of Venezuela’s troubles and think of our friends who still live there;
Elias, Urbano, etc.
Tim [74] and Gail
[70] – the years fly and we have already 53 years since we were married with
five daughters, four grandson, two granddaughters and soon a great
granddaughter on the way.
All living
relatively close bye in Melbourne Australia.
Cheers Tim

On Circular No 788, Gillian O'Connor comments, "Just want to let you know that your photo of Desmond Lange should have read Esmond Lange but am sure that anyone who knew him would have known who he was. I can speak with authority on that as Esmond is my brother but a bit younger than I am – nearly everyone is these days!"
